Kimberly-Clark believes that improved customer understanding of the proper disposal of wet wipes, including through improved labelling of non-flushable products, is key to reducing improper disposal of wipes. Huggies® Baby Wipes and Kleenex® wipes should not be flushed and are clearly labelled with an industry-approved ‘Do Not Flush’ logo on the front of pack. K-C has been working with stakeholders including water companies and trade associations for many years on initiatives to reduce the impact of non-flushable wipes in the environment. Most recent events includes a cross-industry meeting with DEFRA, supporting a Water UK sponsored Wipes in the Sewer Study, as well as revision of the INDA/EDANA’s Non-Flushable labelling code of practice.
