Nathan Noseblow is sitting at a desk. He’s got pale skin, a red nose and tired eyes because he’s got a cold. ‘I feel yucky,’ says Nathan.
He’s got a runny nose and he keeps sneezing. Oh dear, Nathan is about to sneeze… ‘A-choo!’
Nathan didn’t use a tissue when he sneezed.
There are now millions of germs in the air. If someone breathes them in they could catch a cold.
Now Nathan has a runny nose. There are tiny germs dribbling out of Nathan’s nose. What will he do?
Nathan has sniffed but that’s not good. The germs will just come out again!
What’s Nathan going to do now? Oh dear, he’s wiping his nose on his sleeve. That’s not a good thing to do. Nathan’s sleeve now has germs on it.
Nathan puts his arm on the desk. Oh no, the germs gone onto the desk. If someone touches the desk and then puts their fingers in their mouth, they could catch Nathan’s cold. He should have blown his nose with a tissue.
Oh dear, Nathan is now going to cough. ‘Cough!’ He puts his hand over his mouth to try to stop more germs going into the air but… now there are germs on Nathan’s hand! And now he’s borrowed Suki’s pencil without washing his hands first. The germs have got onto her pencil.
He should have used a tissue to cover his mouth. Here’s Suki now – ‘Where’s my pencil?’ Suki asks.
Oh dear, Suki is breathing in the germs in the air… now she’s touching the table… and she’s picking up the pencil.
Guess what? Suki has caught Nathan’s cold. Now she’s not feeling well, and she’s not happy. ‘I’m sorry,’ says Nathan.
