The Big One

Comic Relief – Making a difference

Where does the money go?
Where does the money go?
By participating in the promotion, not only will you be in with the chance of winning your very own seat for Red Nose Day, you will also help to change people’s lives in Africa & the UK.

Red Nose Day is all about feeling good whilst doing good. There are many people in our own communities who need support to turn their lives around - whether it be a woman who is in a violent relationship or a young man struggling to cope with depression, Comic Relief is making sure help is at hand.

Red Nose Day cash is also at work across Africa giving people living in grinding poverty or facing discrimination a chance in life. For a child struggling to survive on the streets, or a community living in an incredibly poor urban slum, your cash is helping to improve - and in some cases - save lives.

Thanks to you and the money you raise, you can make a real and lasting difference to thousands of poor and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa.

Did you know that your money could help in so many different ways?

50p
will buy 8 exercise books for children living in poverty in Malawi, which they need to go to school.

£1 will pay for a hot meal for a young homeless person when they go to a drop-in centre to get vital support and assistance.

£5 will buy a bag of seeds for a family living in extreme poverty in Malawi. By growing and selling fruit and vegetables, a family can make enough money to survive.
